Hey everyone ! We hope you are safe and sound and enjoying the budding spring life.

Activities:
Attached is a scavenger hunt from Benoit on the theme of our friends from the plant world- level 2.Check it out! Chasse aux Plantes 2 Plant Scavenger hunt 2

Here’s two songs sung by our good friend and prolific Montreal artist and choir director, Eleuthera. Be like a Bird and also The River is Flowing.
You can stream her most recent album here.
This is her singing in a park and then getting jumped on by a squirrel ?!

This Wednesday evening on ZOOM our friends at Canopée (the people caretaking the parks of Laval) have an awesome nature games night. Check it out and test your nature knowledge.

Resources:
Here’s a link to a top notch design for a DIY face mask. There’s a lot out there. This is a really good one that can be made relatively easily. We might all be wearing masks for a while, why not have a reusable, safe and stylish one that you made yourself? A sowing machine will make this a lot easier if you have one, but it can be handstitched as well.

Our teen program crew watched and discussed this interesting video on Gratitude backed by some solid science. It’s visual very stimulating and the content is very insightful. What are you grateful for today?

Reflection:
By popular demand, another poem by the great Wendell Berry:

Geese appear high over us,
pass, and the sky closes. Abandon,
as in love or sleep, holds
them to their way, clear
in the ancient faith: what we need
is here. And we pray, not
for new earth or heaven, but to be
quiet in heart, and in eye,
clear. What we need is here.
All the best,
The Coyote Programs team–
